Group Calendar

The Bachman group of the SC Chapter of the Sierra Club meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:30 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, located on the corner of Heyward and Woodrow Streets in the Shandon area of Columbia (interactive map). Monthly meetings are open to the public. A short business meeting is followed by a program presentation on a variety of conservation and nature topics. Refreshments and social time follow the meeting. Meeting dates are occasionally changed when they fall too close to holidays, so check the calendar for updates.

Understanding the Richland County Transportation Study

On Monday, July 21, Dr. Caroline Whitson, Chair of the Richland County Transportation Study Commission will present the results of the 18-month study and update us on the decisions that have been made by the Richland County Council regarding implementation of the plan.

The Bachman Group meets at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Columbia, located at 2791 Heyward St in the Shandon area of Columbia -- corner of Heyward and Woodrow streets.

We begin at 7:30 PM with a short business meeting, followed by our monthly conservation program presentation and discussion. We conclude with snacks and refreshments.

For those interested in having a bite to eat prior to the meeting, a light supper will be served beginning at 6:30 PM. A small donation is requested.
